Software licensing
When you buy Echo Valley we create a licence for you using Keygen, a third party licensing service. We share your name, your email address and your order reference with them. This is used to issue your licence, to apply the three computer limit, and to help you if you lose it. Keygen stores this data on our behalf and does not use it for their own purposes.
What the plug-in sends
Echo Valley connects to the internet only when you activate a licence, deactivate a computer, or start a free trial. At those moments it sends your licence key and an anonymous identifier derived from your computer's hardware, so that the three computer limit can be applied and so that a trial cannot be restarted indefinitely on the same machine.
It does not send your name, your email, your audio, your projects, your presets, or any information about how you use the software. After activation it does not connect to the internet at all.
Who processes your data
Shopify takes your order and payment. Keygen issues and stores your licence. Cloudflare runs the service that creates your licence and checks activations. Resend delivers your licence email.
Managing your licence
You can deactivate a computer from inside Echo Valley itself, which frees that activation for another machine. For anything else, including deleting your data, email contact@echo-tone.com. Deleting your licence data deactivates your copies of the software.
Retention of licence records
We keep licence records for as long as you hold a licence, so that we can reissue it if you lose it and so that free updates continue to work.
